Religious Education | | | We warmly welcome all of our returning families and those just joining our program. You are to be commended for taking the initiative to register your children in our Parish Program. In doing so, you are complying with the promise you made at the time of your child's Baptism; to ensure that they are raised in the knowledge and practice of our faith.
At St. Joseph Parish, we are blessed with a large number of dedicated, volunteer catechists who delight in sharing their faith with your children. They spend many hours of their own time preparing lessons that will effectively and creatively teach the essential knowledge and practices of the Catholic faith.
As with any educational program, however, our catechists cannot accomplish their task alone. Success requires the cooperative efforts of catechists, students and parents, backed up by the prayers and support of the entire Saint Joseph community of faith. As parents, your active interest and participation are vital to your children's religious education.
We ask that you support our catechists by ensuring that your children arrive for class and other meetings on time and that they are prepared for class. Please take the time to review with your children what they are learning their classes. Most importantly, We ask you to be the faithful witnesses that you promised when your children were baptized. We urge you to pray together regularly as a family and to attend Mass together each week. Remember that it is never too late to start. The Mass is the best Catechism Class there is
Through the intercession of Saint Joseph, our patron, may God's blessings be upon you and your children throughout the coming year.
