Parish Nurse ProgramThe Parish Nurse Program, associated with Danbury Hospital, was initiated at St. Joesph's in October 2003. Parish nurses are a resource for health information. They are not a subsitute for the VNA, and with the exception of blood pressure screenings, do not provide "hands on" care. Parish nursing is an outreach, healing ministry that emphasizes wellness and helps connect parishioners to available community resources and services.
