1. SCOPE: The Social Concerns Committee is resource group providing limited financial assistance to the needy and in providing written support, congratulations and sympathy to parish members.

3. PURPOSE: The purpose of the Social Concerns Committee is to provide limited financial assistance to those parish members in need and to provide words of remembrance to homebound parish members on significant events in their lives.
4. FUNCTIONS:
a) Maintain the "Sharing Box" at the rear of the church.
b) Convert the proceeds of the "Sharing Box" into food gift certificates from local food stores.
c) Provide food gift certificates to those who are in need as determine by word-of-mouth recommendations. All activities are strictly confidential.
d) Provide encouragement/recognition cards to the homebound on significant dates and holidays.
4. ORGANIZATION & MEMBERSHIP: The Social Concerns Committee consists of two (2) or more volunteer members.
5. SCHEDULE: The Social Concerns Committee attends to the Sharing Box activity on a weekly basis. Cards are mail as the situations arise.
6. COMMITTEE COSTS AND OTHER PARISH GROUP RELATIONSHIPS: Clerical materials are provided by the parish staff. There are no costs associated with the operations of the committee.
